I'd forgotten about the 'Venus rising from the bathtub' scene. The music performance was interesting - I like the water sound effects.

This is also very noticeable in the beginning piece starting at 1:29:30. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=5370&v=vXILEnsBSrY&feature=emb_logo I’m down there in the forth row center with the balding head. 😊
Buddy
This is a quick article relating to the video clip of the London Swan ballerina posted here about two weeks ago. “Social DistDancing: street ballet surprises make hearts leap” “ The poise and serenity of the ballet pas de deux, especially, seems to delight the onlookers who whoop enthusiastically. “It’s amazing to hear people scream and cheer,” says Katsura. “You don’t get that at the Royal Opera House.” She’s been pleased to show ballet to passersby who might never see it otherwise. “We struggle in the bigger companies and theatres to get that younger generation in, but in the feedback I get, the people in their 20s tend to be the ones that love the ballet and they’re very surprised after watching it. Every time the ballet dancers come on it’s total silence, everyone puts down their phone and they just watch and it’s amazing to see that.” “ https://www.theguardian.com/stage/2020/aug/17/social-distdancing-street-ballet-surprises-make-hearts-leap (Thanks to Ian Macmillan at BalletcoForum) Added: Here's the video again. https://www.classicfm.com/discover-music/periods-genres/ballet/mystery-dancer-on-london-canalside-audience-passing-canoes/ Edited August 18, 2020 by Buddy
Helene
I'm not sure if I would call this cheerful, but I think it's lovely: a digital co-production between PNB and Works & Process by PNB Resident Choreographer Alejandro Cerrudo and Ana Lopez:
Buddy
I like this video for at least two reasons besides just being enjoyable. Outdoor performances really seem like a good idea and dancers wearing face masks in close contact at this time is probably a very good idea as well. pherank
Another crazy photo from Maria Kochetkova - both terrifying and funny: "Caption this... yes, that’s me about to ouch. First entrance of Don Quixote not even a minute on stage, but 3 more hours to go after that fall..." https://www.instagram.com/p/CNhoDGwrBXP/ The still image is hard to decipher - need some video to explain how things went completely fakakta. Quiggin
After I watched the delightful ABT Ratmansky Divertimento/Bubble, I started looking back at old Bernstein musicals. Here's a scene from Wonderful Town with Rosalind Russell who covers a lot of ground in high heels. This still seems fun and cheerful to me – not sure if it's too dated. (I once did a lip-sync scene from the same musical in a required acting class – Pass that Football. Our teacher was Dorothy Adams Foulger who played the maid that drops the tray in Laura when Laura comes back from the dead. She was very amused with my fumbling about.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckO7k4nT7NA&t=218s Edited April 21, 2021 by Quiggin

Russell is awesome on the original Broadway cast album and her line readings have entered justly into legend ( ("I was rereading 'Moby Dick' the other day [radio silence]….It's about this [beat] whale"). Enough to make me forgive her Mama Rose.
volcanohunter
The Twitter account Dancer on Film (discovered thanks to @naomikage) is a great source for cheerful dance videos.
