sohalia
MCB announced it yesterday on its Instagram account: https://www.instagram.com/p/BRoCnBkA5dM/?taken-by=miamicityballet "After a 16-year career with Miami City Ballet, Patricia Delgado will take her final bows with the company at the end of the 2016-2017 season during Program Four. She will perform “Divertimento No. 15”and “Who Cares?”, before she moves to New York City to pursue other creative and artistic opportunities" So sad, but I wish her all the best. She was such a treat to watch, and will be dearly missed. Link to comment
FauxPas
Ahem.... She is an excellent Balanchine ballerina. Are you reading this Mr. Martins and especially Mssrs. Ratmansky and McKenzie? Right in our own backyard... Link to comment
ABT Fan
I wonder what she'll be doing here in NYC. Link to comment
canbelto
She's the girlfriend of Justin Peck. This has been announced in articles so its not gossip. I assume she wants to be closer to Peck. Link to comment
Buddy
I've always liked her. She's somewhat been placed in the shadow of her sister, Jeannette, but they've always remained highly supportive and adoring of each other. I tend to like her slightly more refined posturing. I saw her in Paris in Ballet Imperial and was wowed. She was so high energied that I thought she was her sister. I wish her much happiness. Link to comment
cubanmiamiboy
She will be certainly missed, but yes...go to the city, girl. Link to comment
abatt
I'm happy that she and Justin will be able to spend more time together, but why would she give up her career in Miami to move to New York. To me this seems like the classic scenario where a successful woman makes all of the sacrifices in a relationship. I would be thrilled to see her join NYCB (or, less likely, ABT), but I doubt it will happen. NYCB has an abundance of talent right now. Link to comment

Helene
I saw Delgado in Vancouver in "Symphony in Three Movements." The woman is a goddess. Link to comment

Birdsall
She was terrific in Who Cares? today at Miami City Ballet (her last performance in West Palm....she will dance in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale in this program in the next couple of weeks). Her Fascinating Rhythm solo was sexy! Link to comment
cubanmiamiboy
I just hope she doesn't drag little sister Jeannette with her and out of here...? Link to comment
Birdsall
http://www.miamiherald.com/entertainment/article140134348.html Apparently, she has had some injuries that kept her from dancing much in recent times and it sounds like she might go into coaching. Jeanette Delgado will take a year leave also but stay on the roster. Link to comment

Arja is nice to watch, and so is Albertson...but that's about it. And I don't think Albertson will be dancing much more. Link to comment
Barbara
I wonder if this opens the door for Lauren Fadely to become principal. She moved to MCB from her principal position at PA Ballet and has quickly moved from soloist to principal soloist. Link to comment
Natalia
A pdd from Peck's YEAR OF THE RABBIT, to be danced by Patricia Delgado and Jovani Ferlan (MCB), has just been added to Program B of the Kennedy Center's Ballet Across America Festival (Apr 22/23)...the program curated by Peck. There will be a post-perf discussion following the Sat night show. http://www.kennedy-center.org/calendar/event/BRBSF Also, Patricia's sister, Jeannette, & Renan Cerdeiro (both MCB stars) have been added to the opening night festival program.
