The 2014 season is almost over so we can start speculating/ wishing for the 2015 season. Aside from the previously announced Sleeping Beauty, what are the predictions/ wishes for the next season. I'll start with a wish for Ashton's La Fille... They have not done it for a while. Anyone else? Mussel ?

Although not a Balanchine expert, i thought the S in 3 movements was well danced particularly by Lia and Lasha in the PDD and by the high-jumping pair of Jeffrey Cirio and Misa Kurunaga.I loved Bella Figura inspite of the strange ending. We were seated in the back of the orchestra that one can't really see the nudity( unless one has better vision than me). The BB dancers are very impressive.They should come back to NY again with ,at least, one classical ballet. Nikko better be careful, KMc might be shopping for dancers.

Abatt, Does ABT have a third cast on their ballets who are rehearsed with the 1st and 2nd cast during the rehearsal period ? Someone who can take over if the 1st 2 casts can't perform.

If PBS Indianapolis can present a quality ballet program, why can't Channel 13( PBS-NY) do a similar program? Just asking.

According to their website , Ballet of the La Scala Opera is doing A Ratmansky's new Sleeping Beauty on Oct 2015 as a coproduction with ABT. That makes sense in the present economic conditions especially for expensive productions like this. Alexei is also doing a new full-length Paquita, based on the Stepanov notations, for the Bavarian State Ballet this December. It would be wonderful if ABT can coproduce this or acquire it later.

I just noted in the ABT site that all the current apprentices were taken in to the main corps de ballet roster. Maybe, soloists promotions announcement will follow? Before the end of the season?

I would be thrilled if they do revive it.Herman(w/ S Lane) would be perfect as Colas but i wonder if Marcelo would be too mature/tall to play Colas.

Can't wait to see Gillian as Lise in Ashton's La Fille Mal Gardee. I hope ABT revives it next season.

Unless ABT posts a video produced by S Spielberg and choreographed by A Ratmansky with Diana and Marcelo dancing, nobody will be happy.

It is really too bad that Marcelo's performances has not been filmed for posterity.

I don't think that period will happen again as there are very few really great dancers anymore. Even the present rosters of the Kirov, Bolshoi,RB does not have many dancers that are "must be seen" IMHO. We were really spoiled by that period and the period in the 70's.
