Well,if one likes the cats in Sleeping Beauty and the chickens in La Fille.. you will find things to enjoy with the goats in Sylvia. The steps looks difficult to dance

Monique did the Friday night and was listed in the Sat matinee and would have done the Sat night if V Part did not dance.
Sorry, no info on the Mon night performance.

M Meunier danced in all 3 Sylvias over the weekend.Although the roles are short, it's a good sign that she's healthy(no injuries) and maybe, Kevin is finally "appreciating" her

Did anyone see the Cornejo-Lane T andV debut? Apparently, from some early reviews, they did very well.
In the Met website, Herman is cast w/ Misty Copeland in Le Corsaire.

Is Sylvia a coproduction w/ the Royal ballet? I remembered a news item in the Dance Magazine 2-3 years ago quoting K Mckenzie of plans for coproduction of Sylvia(w/ the Royal B) and Napoli(w/ the Royal Danish).Maybe, Napoli will be for next season.

Veronica Part looks like to have benefited from Nina A's withdrawal from the Met season. She is now dancing Swan Lake(2), Raymonda and Ballet Imperial. Is she strong enough for BI? I was hoping Monique would finally get her breakin BI

In the article in the NYT, Ms.Sylve is quoted that she misses full-lenght ballets.
She certainly can, if her NYCB schedule allows, fill for Nina in Raymonda, Swan Lake and Ballet Imperial.

Just read in another website that ABT is touring Japan in July,2005 w/ Raymonda and Mayerling. Is Mayerling part of next season?Did they release the plans for next season?
Joe
Hmmm...Wheeldon at ABT,I did not think NYCB would"allow" him to choreograph for ABT.How about doing a full-length "Cinderella" for ABT(if ABT can't get the rights for Ashton's version) in the future?

Monique as Kitri!!!! Now that's something to look forward to.After seeing her in the 2nd lead in Ballet Imperial,i can't wait to see her do the lead. Did she ever dance the lead at NYCB>
