Very sad news about this multi-talented woman.

Very very sad news.  The world is lucky that she took so many wonderful photographs in addition to dancing, teaching, raising a family and supporting her husband in his many endeavors.

Such a jolt of sad news! I’ve always been impressed with the d’Amboise/George family. They’ve been through some hardships with the health of one of their sons, and have always been inspirational to me and my mother. May God bless her family and her precious soul.

I remember seeing Carolyn George in classes and performances when she was with San Francisco Ballet.  I think her husband's discription of her as "an American filly" fits her perfectly; you couldn't miss her.  May she rest in peace.

I understand a memorial service is being held tomorrow (March 30th) at Symphony Space.  Does anyone know what time?  I have 9:00am, but don't know if my calendar invented that or I heard it....
