But back to "I, Claudius".

I truly love this series. The acting is really amazing not to mention the cast. In addition to the previous mentioned names: Patrick Stewart, John Rhys-Davies, John Hurt, Simon Callow. All before they were better known for other roles.

And I love the costumes. I have fantasies of wearing beautiful diaphanos silks with my hair piled artistically on top of my head. How glamorous!

I love the scene when Caligula is eating one bite out of each peach and then throwing the rest into to street. A good demonstration of Roman decadence I think.
