So in Alastair Macauley's review of the various Swan Lake performances, he mentions, almost in passing that Michele Wiles' performance as Odette was her final performance with the company. I have not found any other news of her leaving the company. I did see that she will be performing elsewhere (guest appearance with Lemon Sponge Cake). I had a phone call from what I think was someone in the box office today and I asked. The caller did not know, but someone else in the room thought that she quit.
My daughter has met her a few times and enjoyed chatting with her. Was wondering if anyone knew where she would be going from her.
Michele Wiles leaving ABT?any information?

She received a bouquet from Kevin McKenzie on stage after her last performance of O/O.
When we get official news about her whereabouts, we'll post it here.

Wow...I noticed how scanty her performance schedule has been lately...

Just as I have always said..right at the very top of any ballet dancer list of items to be aware of and try to get rid off ASAP-(at least in my eyes)-is that issue of being an uninteresting one...

from Time Out New York #830 (Sept 29 - Oct 5) p. 45:
"[Charles] Askegard, 42, started out at American Ballet Theatre in 1987, where he remained until moving to NYCB in 1997. Known for his height (he's 6'4"), his stellar partnering and his gracious classicism, Askegard will continue dancing with statuesque ballerinas. Among his upcoming ventures...he is starting his own company, Ballet Next, with the former ABT principal Michele Wiles."

I believe I saw that Ballet Next will be performing at the Joyce Theatre this November and we are hoping to get tickets! Does anyone know anything more about the company or have any updates as to the possibility that Michele Wiles is leaving ABT?

The above link should take you to the page on the Joyce webeite for BalletNext. The only performance info I'm aware of is one performance at the Joyce on Nov 21, 2011.
Wiles is definitely gone from ABT. ABT already announced the roster of dancers for its Spring Season at the Met in 2012. She is not on the list.
