maps
That link really belongs under PA ballet. Austin was one of my favorites at NYCB and was quite happy when she moved to Philadelphia with PA Ballet. Her dancing had the warmth and magic of Mearns. Many fine performances at Lincoln Center and Academy of Music. Link to comment
Mme. Hermine
Make sure that you place the marker at the beginning, as it's coming up at about 5 minutes for me and there is more at the beginning! Link to comment
sandik
Thanks for posting this video -- I saw it on Facebook yesterday, but despaired of finding it again without scrolling for ages. What a lovely Sylph! Link to comment

vrsfanatic
She was a wonderful dancer. Hopefully the history will be re-written. Ms Austin deserves to be recognized. Link to comment
balletomane
I agree, her shoes should also be part of the exhibit. The exhibit could place shoes from any African American who has reached an important milestone in the field, or made a significant impact/ contribution. Hopefully this new exhibit will evolve and grow. Link to comment
