JRB
My daughter just called me to tell me that Jock Soto was just showered with flowers and about 7 curtain calls! Does this mean what I am afraid it could mean? She said that Ashley Bouder was incredible! She was so excited and is going to call me back later with more details. Anyone know anything about Jock? Oh, and Darci was also in on the curtain calls I think. She has never seen so many flowers being thrown onstage before. Link to comment

rkoretzky
Jock Soto has announced his retirement from NYCB at the end of spring season 2005. So we will not be seeing him here in Saratoga again, but he'll be dancing throughout next year in NYC. Link to comment

KayDenmark
I hope he's given a chance to perform "Chiaroscuro" one more time. It was choreographed on him, and I've always had a weakness for it. Link to comment
oberon
Yes, I too hope to see Jock in CHIAROSCURO again. His farewell should also include something for him & Wendy since their partnership has been one of the highlights of recent years at NYCB. Link to comment
dancelyssa
Two things Is your daughter at NYSSSA or Brianksy because last year I went to briansky and we saw SPAC Second, Jock Soto isnt retired fully yet because he, DAmian woetzel, darci kistler and another member always do our nutcracker in STamford COnnecticut where Balanchines production is staged by a repetiteur from the Balanchien Trust, and I think that he was doing it this year again with Kistler.
