I don't think Peter is going anywhere anytime soon. God knows he couldn't afford to support his family (assuming Darci retires in a few years?) by choreographing.
As for his Son... Has anyone read of what his interests are? I get the impression he's not interested - otherwise he'd be at SAB teaching a bit at least, no? any thoughts?
Hmm. I would find it more to the point to ask a nycb dancer who has worked w/ all 3 - martins, balanchine, and robbins what the differences were.
anyone? i suppose the asnwer would be funny indeed and not as loftly as one may expect.
As the very last of Balanchine's male dancers, what should his role be in the company after he retires? He already teaches at SAB - should he be a ballet master?????
The official retirement from nycb is june 19. the whole evening apparently will be about him. (5 ballets!!!!!) this from Mr. Martins.
When was the last time we saw this?!?! Even Ms. Watts only got 2 ballets on her last swan song.....
Well, the casting has just gone up for their Japan tour. It would be fair to say that similar appearances should be expected for the LA and OC County tours.
Most conspicious is Woetzel's abscense and Soto's non-stop performances.
