In pas de trois, it was Christophe Duquenne with Alexandra Cardinale and Myriam Kamionka. They were brilliant all three. In rubies, we must see Fanny Fiat, one of the best dancer of the troup unfortunately injuried and Hervé Courtain, if Hervé Courtain will dance wednesday with Nolwenn, the couple was replaced by Nolwenn Daniel and Emmanuel Thibault. They were very very dissapointing, especially Emmanuel Thibault. They dance "alone together" and never in couple, we don't feel nothing, they make too many beautiful things technically, but it was cold, and without this necessary "grain de folie" in Balanchine work. Emmanuel Thibault showed his artistics "limits" and shows that he can't become a premier danseur. Nolwenn Daniel, a lyrical ballerina, was in a "contre-emploi" and shows several beautiful technical things. Against Stéphanie Romberg as tall soloist was exactly what we wait for this part, "glamourous". For Diamonds, it was Karin Averty with Christophe Duquenne, I don't understand why they don't cast someone else in Emeralds pas de trois, as Diamonds part is not so difficult. Christophe Duquenne is an handsome partner, good technician even if it's hard to dance after José Martinez and Jean-Guillaume Bart. Sad news , Hervé Moreau won't dance Diamonds and will be replace by José Martinez besides of Delphine Moussin. Against I don't know who replace him, sunday afternoon in first soloist of Emeralds.

The Programm Ek/Teshigawara is record for Mezzo, and I suppose France 3, it will replace Sylvia. Yes they don't think before cast the dancer that they have two programm in same time. Moreover Marie-Agnes recovered from an injury, it's perhaps why they don't want she take more risk on stage. Against Hervé Moreau should appear in Diamonds the 1st and the 3 of march beside of Delphine Moussin as well Karin Averty and Christophe Duquenne 2 of march. Did Jean-Guillaume Bart make also his famous "coupés jetés" manege. Agnes Letestu makes the same fouettés in Paris, alternating single-single double all the long. Premiere of this new programm is tonight. Against, I can't make a review, because I don't go to it. I must say I don't love appartement when I saw it at the creation, not because of the dancers, they are really good, but I don't support the music, one of the ten pictures even is a solo for the flash quartet who played live his music. Against as Estelle I love the cleaner vacuum gigue and I love the kitchen scene. I discovered really the Television scene during the promotion concours where Jean-Christophe Guerri who became sujet with this excerpt was absolutely wonderful ! I like Mats Ek work especially his Giselle. Just for information Appartement is a study of the everyday life, with the common scene : cleaning "le bidet", watching television, the street, the kitchen, the cleaner vacuum gigue, and so on. It's very special. All the dancers are every night all on stage but in different parts. This programm must be recorded to be diffused on Mezzo chanel march 31.

I'm glad that russian people enjoy Eleonora Abbagnato, for me she is with Marie-Agnès Gillot the two best premiere danseuse of POB and they should be etoile, but Direction prefered to promote etoile Laetitia Pujol who is always like you describe Jeannie in each part she dances, or Clairemarie Osta . Eleonora is absolutely wonderful in Sicilian variation, I think little problem of partnership with Yann Bridard is certainly due to a lack of rehearsals. My favourite one are at POB Fanny Fiat, Muriel Zusperreguy, Isabelle Ciaravola, Christophe Duquenne, Hervé Courtain who was soloist with Boston Ballet last season, Stéphane Bullion just passed sujet. I love as Estelle Jean-Marie Didiere who is a wonderful actor and when he dance, was a really good dancer. I love also Julien Meyzindi, Bruno Bouché, Sébastien Bertaud, Dorothée Gilbert, Juliette Gernez. When SFB went to Paris two years ago, I appreciate in corps Michael Eaton, Chidorie Nzerem, a black dancer who was now in Harlem dance theater and whom I forget unfortunately the name :confused: . It was more difficult to recognize girl and to put a name on their face but I remember of Dalene Bremer in Othello as well as ? Lewitzke as Bianca always in Otello, !

You're right Su Lian about the difference between Duquenne and Thibault, For me style is more important than technic, and we tend to lose this style in French dance ;). I think when you see Duquenne as Romeo, you know that he is a complete artist able to dance the Nureyev version without technical fault, and with good partnering, and well acting, for me it's what must be a dancer ! I agree too that POB is full of wonderful sujet my favourite female sujet are Fanny Fiat, Muriel Zusperreguy and I love too Isabelle Ciaravola !

I saw Nicolai Tsiskaridze in French production of la Bayadere besides of Marie-Agnès Gillot, he was wonderful, he danced with his russian style some variation but try to have french style and he arrives very well to this. Gillot and Tsiskaridze were a true couple on stage, and never Nicolai steals the "vedette" to Marie-Agnès or to Stéphanie Romberg who danced Gamzatti. French audience was completely under charm and wait for one thing, that he comes back to POB to dance, because when he dance, he has something so exciting, so "charming" :rolleyes: . I know that he was completely charmed by POB and want to stay with our etoile. I'm happy that Bolchoi came next year in Paris and I hope we will see Tsiskaridze more often in Paris.

I don't see him again in Rubies soloist part, his first performance should be next week and I should go to, I will give you my impression about it. Against I saw him in Emeralds pas de trois, it's a good soloist but nothing more, it's a good sujet. Emmanuel is also cast in the corps of Rubies and is as the other (Elizabé, Gaudion, and Belem), not better. I find more interesting Christophe Duquenne whose nobody talk but who is a dancer as only POB is able to have with the handsome, the style, a complete artist. If an artist should be promoted premier danseur, it was him who has a wide repertory and is a good partner, he must aslo dance Diamonds part with Karin Averty, he danced also Emeralds first soloist really fine. He knows what means Balanchine style. Isabelle should be 1m65 high, she is tall and she has long legs. But it's one of these dancer of Pob who dance with the "little" or the "tall" when she began to dance she was cast in purple soloist in Bayadere pas d'action, now she is in "green soloist" who are the "big" girl. It's the same thing for Duquenne who is 1m80 high and was cast in Allegro brillante with the "little" and with the tall in diamonds (other are Bullion, new sujet, Meyzindi and Hoff).

For Karin it's what I would to say, she is not enough tall for Moussin, she has the same size and I prefer when Delphine is with Marie-Agnès, because the difference of size is more important, and it's what needs the ballet. I think Romberg, Gillot and Cozette are wide shoulder also, it's for that they should seem more important, and I think the dress are not really beautiful for this party of ballet. I prefer the older costum of Karinska. In diamonds, they take four dancer who are tall, Aubin, Ciaravola, Laffon are tall, and Cozette has the same size, but they are all together and with a tall dancer Rubies soloist and corps are composed of "small" ballerina, against in Diamonds, principal and corps are all tall dancer.

It's normal that the soloist of Rubies appeared "big" or "tall". It's wanted by Balanchine he creates the leading part for Patricia McBride small dancer and soloist part for Patricia Neary, big and wide shoulder. It's always a big one soloist who makes this part. Look it's Marie-Agnès Gillot or Stéphanie Romberg or Emilie Cozette or Karin Averty. Agaisnt when I saw Karin Averty besides of Delphine Moussin, they don't have enough of difference of size, Marie-Agnès was a better choice to oppose to Delphine ! Agnes Letestu some years ago was the big soloist !

What is sure, Legris should dance Rubies today and tomorrow but will be replace by Jeremie Belingard tonight beside of Eleonora Abbagnato and tomorrow it's Nolwenn Daniel and Emmanuel Thibault who replace the both. It seems that Hervé Moreau is also injuried and will be replaced by an other premier danseur who is one of my favourite one and is Yann Bridard. He is not a noble dancer, more a character dancer, but he is really elegant in second pdd of "sleepwalker". I have the luck to see the French dancers you will see in some day. I don't love Laetitia Pujol in this part,, she's too "maniérée", too smiling, she's too much , Karl Paquette is not really good in this part of the first man, too heavy, against Eleonora Abbagnato is really wonderful in Sicilian variation and in pdd, she is like a queen !

Is Manuel Legris dancing or not, on the front page, his name disappear against he seems to dance Suite of dance from Robbins and Carmen pdd in the final gala, where is the truth, thanks !
