Digital seasons and pay-per-view, 2023-24

On Tuesday Wednesday, September 26 27, at 19:45 CET (1:45 pm Eastern), La Scala will livestream the Nureyev production of Swan Lake. It's scheduled to star Maria Celeste Losa as Odette-Odile, Navrin Turnbull as Siegfried and Emanuele Cazzato as Rothbart. The price is €9.90 for HD and €11.90 for UHD 4K. The program will be available for seven days after that, but each rental has a 72-hour viewing window from the moment you hit play.

On Friday, September 29, at 7:15 pm AEST (5:15 am Eastern), the Australian Ballet will livestream its new-old production of Anne Woolliams' Swan Lake. It's scheduled to star Benedicte Bemet as Odette-Odile, Joseph Caley as Siegfried and Jarryd Madden as Rothbart. The stream costs 29 AUD (about $19), and will be available on demand for 14 days.

It's already being discussed on a different thread, but apparently Pacific Northwest Ballet's digital season will be presented as an all-inclusive package of seven streams for $300. The dates haven't yet been announced, but each stream will be released once live performances have finished and will be available on demand for 5 days.

The Pacific Northwest Ballet regular rep streams are available the Thursday after the rep ends through the following Monday night 11:59pm Pacific Time:

Petite Mort -- October 5-9

Love and Loss -- Nov 16-20

Swan Lake -- Feb 15-19

One Thousand Pieces -- Mar 28-Apr 1

The Seasons Canon -- Apr 25-29

Coppelia -- Jun 13-17

Last year's Nutcracker streaming period was longer, from December 19-27. 

The recording has been of the Opening Night performance all of last year.

Eh.  I would much rather PNB chose a new-to-them “white” ballet.  I would love to see Thordal Christensen stage the Danish La Sylphide that he did for LAB,   Or Mark Morris stage the Sylvia he did for SFB.  Or Alexei Ratmansky stage the Snow Queen he made for MCB.  Any of these could be paired with MCB’s production of Balanchine’s Firebird  (or Stowell’s version). 
 

The Stowell Swan Lake is beautiful.  But like Blink82 songs, it gets played too damned much.

The Australian Ballet will livestream Frederick Ashton's The Dream and Marguerite and Armand on Tuesday, November 21, at 7:15 pm AEDT (3:15 am Eastern). The stream costs $29 AUD, about $19 USD, and will be available on demand for 14 days.

The Dream is scheduled to feature Ako Kondo, Chengwu Guo and Brett Chynoweth, and Marguerite and Armand will star Amy Harris and Nathan Brook. Harris is retiring at the end of this run.

The Paris Opera Ballet will livestream its all-Kylián program - Stepping Stones, Gods and Dogs, Petite Mort, Sechs Tänze - on Paris Opera Play on Friday, December 15, at 20:00 CET (2:00 pm Eastern).

Available on demand for 7 days for €14.90 or as part of a POP subscription.

Gods and Dogs went first on the program. Stepping Stones had the starriest cast, including Hannah O'Neill, Ludmila Pagliero. Mathieu Ganio, Hugo Marchand and Arthus Raveau.

The stream is available on demand until 22 December.
