Helene
As this article in Pointe Magazine notes, there have been other athletic wear collaborations with dancers -- the article mentions Copeland and Hayward -- what I think is newsworthy is that the collection isn't specifically tied to a popular, well-followed dancer, but Athleta has chosen to partner with a ballet company. pherank
Those of us who have listened to past Conversations on Dance podcasts got to hear about the Tiler Peck "Body Wrappers" dancewear again and again. ;) There do seem to be many, many dancers getting into designing clothing and accessories, as well as modeling. Just now, when I looked at one of Tiler Peck's outfits (which are inexpensive but stylish and, dare I say it, sexy), I was surprised to see SFB's Koto Ishihara modeling the outfit: https://www.discountdance.com/dancewear/style_P1008x_html?pid=106412&shop=Style&&skey=Tiler+PEck+Body+Wrappers&search=true&SortOrder=R&SID=1322273765 But there seems to be a lot of dancers involved with fashion in one way or another.
