Swanilda8 Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Does anyone know of an available recording of either the Moiseyev or the Jacobson production of Spartacus? Could be DVD, VHS, film reels. I'm interested in excerpts from the ballet as well as the entire work.
pherank Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 I have sent a PM to Swanilda8 ... will let you all know if the information is of use. EDIT: I should mention that on YouTube there is footage that I believe is from a Russian DVD of the full Mariinsky performance of the Yakobson version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XUjBmvrseU
tamicute Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I have seen Yakobson Spartacus many times, but never Moiseyev..
Swanilda8 Posted September 24, 2013 Author Posted September 24, 2013 I have seen Yakobson Spartacus many times, but never Moiseyev.. I've never seen it either! I was hoping it would be captured on film somewhere, but so far I have not found any evidence that it was.
