Helene
The travel agency with whom I'm going to attend the World Figure Skating Championships in Moscow has gotten tickets for Tchaikovsky's opera Mazeppa, which is scheduled to be performed on the main stage. It's not the Balanchine Program , but it's a chance to see a performance in one of the world's great theaters. I have two questions: a. Are there multi-language supertitles or translations in the back of the chair directly in front of one's seat? b. Are there photos of the great dancers and singers of Bolshoi history, either in the lobbies or adjacent galleries? I'm particularly hoping to find Plisetskaya and Vassiliev, and mezzo Oboukova and tenor Sobinov. Link to comment
dirac
I have no insights, but I hope someone more cosmopolitan does. I hope we get a report back from Moscow that's as wonderful to read and as thorough as your "Ring" report from Adelaide! Link to comment
