For school the religious exemption is a simple form.  No one questions parents decisions and no explanation is needed.

That's actually not true. In my school vaccines are mandatory for extracurricular activities and field trips. You must bring a doctor's note on why you cannot get the vaccine. Religious exemptions are not being accepted at this time.

  2. In this interview Jonathan Stafford is very explicit that all NYCB employees must be vaccinated:

STAFFORD That kicked us in the butt a bit and we thought, OK, we have to make this happen. We have also talked a lot about testing and vaccinations. City Ballet is mandating vaccinations for our employees and it helped to have support from other dance companies and know that we weren’t an outlier. There isn’t going to be a unified policy here, but it was very helpful to share.

With safety at the forefront, New York City Ballet will be implementing a mandatory vaccination policy for all employees and visitors to the David H. Koch Theater and Samuel B. & David Rose Building. This includes all audiences attending our repertory performances – SEPT 21 - OCT 17, JAN 18 - FEB 27, and APR 19 - MAY 29. Every audience member must be fully vaccinated and upon entering the Theater will be required to show in-person proof of vaccination authorized by the FDA or WHO against COVID-19. If a potential audience member remains unvaccinated because of a disability or sincerely held religious belief, that person may contact the New York City Ballet in writing for assistance or to request a reasonable accommodation by sending an email to customercare@nycballet.com.

At this time, children under the age of 12, for whom there is currently no available vaccination, will not be permitted to attend NYCB repertory performances

Performances in the fall are not planned to be socially distanced, and in the interest of minimizing overall time at the Theater, Fall 2021 programs will be performed without intermissions.

    Additional safety measures include:

    • upgraded auditorium ventilation systems with MERV 15 filters
    • a contactless entry experience for visitors arriving at the Theater
    • rigorous cleaning and sanitation protocols throughout the building

  5. I made this video about David Hallberg's directive about arms:

So David Hallberg made a video demonstrating what he wants arms to look like -- free and flowing, and not held at a very fixed angle. He cites the way NYCB, Mariinsky, or Bolshoi do it. I found examples of what he's talking about. In the first video (a variation from T&V), the Laura Hecquet POB has arms held in a very stiff, formal angle throughout the variation. It's very classically correct. In the second video, Tiler Peck of the NYCB does what David Hallberg demonstrates -- her arms fly higher as the music crescendos.

  6. I went to the performance at Rockefeller Center tonight.

Overall enjoyed the evening although I found the Whiteside piece New Amerian Romance a bit boring. I enjoyed Christine Shevchenko and Tom Forster in Seven Sonatas, and I also enjoyed Indestructible Light. There was a cool dancer encore at the end.

I have read that Osipova uses them but have never noticed it either in person or in photos.  Lamb's  pix above look  particularly strange.

They are visible inher younger photos. She doesn't use them anymore because her feet have such huge bunions.
