Lauren Fadeley joins MCB

Recommended Posts

Lots of shake-ups at the Pennsylvania Ballet have led Principal Dancer Lauren Fadeley to leave, and to join Miami City Ballet for next season. She will join as a soloist.

This is the story about the Pennsylvania Ballet, and how 40% of its dancers are leaving.

Good for her!

Fadeley and her husband, Francis Veyette, were the subject of a two-part Balancing Pointe podcast

and Fadeley was featured on Barry Kerollis' first Core-ography episode:

Lourdes Lopez is making some very fine choices for MCB.

I agree, I am glad she was able to find a good home with MCB and is able to continue dancing. I hope she blossoms just as much as Messmer has this season.

I would love to see Veyette maybe get involved with the school down here. He has a a lot of experience working with the pre-professional company of Pennsylvania Ballet.

I have been in touch with Lauren. She is actually very excited to be a part of MCB and closer to her family in Florida. AND.....you can look forward to hearing more from Lauren and her transition as I will be producing a new podcast for her in the very near future :). It will be a featured show on my recently launched Premier Dance Network.

Enjoy Lauren - we will miss her terribly here in Philadelphia! I am so glad she found such a great position. And my daughter is an advanced student at the School of PA Ballet - the Miami Ballet School should snap up Francis immediately! He is one of the most gifted ballet teachers I have ever observed, and it is a huge loss to the school and PA Ballet II that he is leaving.
