O'Toole says he's done:

Quote

An eight-time Academy Award nominee who never won Hollywood's top acting honor, O'Toole shot to screen stardom 50 years ago in the title role of "Lawrence of Arabia," which earned seven Oscars, including best picture and director for David Lean.

He's only 80? I would have thought he was older. At any rate, he had some wonderful roles.

He certainly doesn’t look young for his age, but at least he’s still alive – most of his confreres in the group known as the "hellraisers" have already gone to their eternal reward. Yes, it’s a remarkable gallery of film performances. It’s not every actor whose range extends from Henry II to Mr. Chips.

I'm sad Mr. O'Toole won't be acting anymore but he's left us a phenomenal body of work. Posted Image

He was an incredibly game actor -- great roles and ridiculous roles side by side for years and years.
