According to this news from the Vancouver 2010 website, Uliana Lopatkina and musician Yuri Bashmet are headlining a new tour-venture titled "Passion of Russia," which apparently will also include several Bolshoi and Mariinsky soloists.

Wow. Thanks for posting that Natalia, how ever did you manage to find it?! I am going to send to my friends who live bicoastally (Vancouver/St Petersburg). This is so unusual for Lopatkina to venture away from home!

Indeed, Catherine. I would not be surprised if Lopatkina ends up traveling quite a bit in the run-up to the next Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia (2014). This event is being presented in conjunction with the Sochi 2014 Olympic Organizing Committee,

Wow, Natalia, you're right. I had forgotten about Sochi 2014 -- it makes sense that one of the country's leading icons would be involved! :-)

How wonderful for those who are going to the Olympics! I absolutely love Uliana Lopatkina...definitely one of my favorites.
