Blaithin
Hello, I was looking the other day for a full list of all the Bolshoi ballets shown in the cinema over the years but couldn't find them all on one place. I ended up trundling through many websites to put together the list below. Not sure if it's 100% correct. Can you let me know if I've made any mistakes and I'll correct them. The sites I used to compile the information are listed below. Someone will probably come back to with me an official link to the full list of ballets now, but just in case it doesn't exist it's good to have it all in one place for future reference. volcanohunter
Blaithin, A performance of Swan Lake was recorded on 26 September 2010, but was broadcast the following spring. I don't have exact dates, because I think they varied from market to market. The performance of Giselle from January 2011 also included a performance of Class Concert, although it was not included on the subsequent DVD. Wayne McGregor's production of Rite of Spring never took place in the aftermath of the attack on Sergei Filin. A repeat screening of Esmeralda replaced it. The broadcast of The Golden Age which was scheduled for March 2014 was replaced by a live broadcast of Marco Spada (subsequently released on DVD). As your list notes, a broadcast of The Golden Age did take place two and a half years later in October 2016 (and also released on DVD). Edited January 24, 2019 by volcanohunter Link to comment

I would love to see the Rite of Spring, let's hope they schedule it again. I'll see if I can edit it now. Have you been to many of them yourself? Link to comment

Mcgregor ended up creating his version of Rite of Spring for American Ballet Theatre some years after the Bolshoi production was cancelled. It premiered there quite recently. Yes, I have seen pretty much all of them, whether at the cinema, on DVD or streamed online. In the case of my favorite broadcasts, I returned to the cinema when they were repeated. How about you? I didn't know about it before then. On 1/26/2019 at 10:40 PM, sofiabn said: I see now that your list has all the ballets! Great work! Thanks. Link to comment
