Dale
It's pretty rare when ballet is profiled on a major media blog like Jezebel; even more rare when it's on their sports blog Deadspin. http://deadspin.com/ballerina-ashley-bouder-takes-on-gender-inequality-one-1793487014 Link to comment
sandik
Thanks so much for the link -- I don't follow Jezebel closely (and certainly don't follow the sports blog) so I likely would have missed this. I'm glad to see Bouder stepping up to the task here, both in programming for her side gig and for her response to the assumption that as a mother she would automatically be cutting back on her commitment to NYCB. As a culture, we're making some progress, but it feels rather chaotic at times. Link to comment
Helene
Bouder speaks about how she came to this project in her interview with Rebecca King and Michael Sean Breeden for "Conversations on Dance": http://balletalert.invisionzone.com/index.php?/topic/42393-ashley-bouder-interview-on-conversations-on-dance-podcast/ Link to comment
