cubanmiamiboy
Interesting to see Burlaka's recreation of the Imperial production. I still much prefer Balanchine's choreo for both segments. Link to comment
Helene
Oh, thank you for posting these! It was hard to follow the patterns for Snow due to the camera work, but I liked what I saw of the visual. The tempos were so languid, though. Since Balanchine's Flowers is such a masterwork, I'm glad he had the constraints of a small company. The male "buds" costumes did them no favors, but I adore the Flowers' hats. I want one! Link to comment
cubanmiamiboy
I find the tempi dragging as well, particularly during the snow scene. (BTW...I don't think I've ever seen so man pas de chats thrown into a segment!). Link to comment
sandik
I love it when they wheel on the big urn in the Flowers. Link to comment
Mailied
I think it looks gorgeous despite the funeral tempi. The men's costumes in the Flower Waltz are hilarious. Link to comment
