Gunther Schuller and ragtime

Just listened to an interview with Schuller from 2002-ish (broadcast to mark his death this weekend) where he talks about his work with ragtime music. I tend to forget that he and his colleagues were really responsible for that revival -- the music always seem so ubiquitous that it doesn't seem possible that it was pretty much moribund for years.

Thanks for this. When the revival was new the music was indeed ubiquitous, not to say unavoidable. MacMillan's Elite Syncopations is a nice ballet memento from that time.
