miliosr
Author Brent Phillips has published a biography of the postwar M-G-M musical director Charles Walters titled Charles Walters: The Director Who Made Hollywood Dance. While not as well know as his direct contemporary, Vincente Minnelli, Walters helmed some of M-G-M's biggest musicals of the postwar period, including Good News (1947), Easter Parade (1948), The Barkleys of Broadway (1949), Lili (1953) and High Society (1956). (He also made three "aquacals" with Esther Williams and the Joan Crawford musical Torch Song!) Link to comment
