Mme. Hermine Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Besides a generally ballet-related "story" (as much as these shorts ever had), there is a dance sequence with three women who IMDB says were members of the Jack Cole company, one of whom in particular does some rather nice fouettes. The sequence starts at about 2:57 in here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L94VcVp6pvE
sandik Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Cole was a Jack of All Trades, but he really wasn't known for extended ballet sequences. They may have danced for him, but I don't think he staged this.
Mme. Hermine Posted July 4, 2013 Author Posted July 4, 2013 No, he's not given credit for it, but the three women were listed as dancers in his company in all their biographies. There's no credit for the dance sequences. However I saw that one of them was the director's daughter in law, so maybe she did it.
