sandik Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 I was talking to a colleague in Portland who was at the performance on December 23 -- apparently Stowell interpolated some excerpts from his own work into the ballet, as a kind of farewell to the company. I don't have a definitive list, but the clips included Stowell's Rite of Spring, Carmen and Midsummer Night's Dream -- it was, I was told, a charming and emotional gesture.
Helene Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Is that performance traditionally their "Nutty Nutcracker"?
sandik Posted January 11, 2013 Author Posted January 11, 2013 I don't know if they have a tradition of a parody performance -- I'll ask around. Or perhaps someone here can answer that question...
