Natalia Posted February 12, 2007 Share Posted February 12, 2007 Interesting that the Raymonda casting for the week of the 20th has been announced (Fairchild or Boree leading), yet the casting for the opening performance on the 16 (this Friday) remains 'TBD.' I just checked the NYCB website & it's still 'TBD.' If the intention is to alternate the two casts, then we can guess 'Boree-Millepied' for the 16th but that's not necessarily the case. Finally, some charismatic youth for Balanchine (Mearns in Walpurgisnacht). Who knows, maybe Balanchine will begin to get the whooping applause from young members of the audience that's been mostly limited to star turns in lesser works... Link to comment

Ringer has danced Raymonda Vs. It may be a matter of scheduling adequate rehearsals. I look forward to the casting of the five soloists, which is bound to include a debut or two.
