Tala Gaisma

A sudden treat--going to NYC and seeing two ballet performances. One of them is on Saturday afternoon. Has anyone seen this new ballet, "Tala Gaisma"? What is the music like? Did you enjoy it?

I am sure it will be a shock after seeing "Jewels" the previous evening!

If you scroll down thru the topics under NYC Ballet to week 2 and week 3, there are some notes about TALA GAISMA. In a nutshell, I loved the music and it was beautifully danced but it is not terribly interesting to watch - after a while the choreography just meanders on.

Actually, in the original programming you would have been seeing GUIDE TO STRANGE PLACES this week but it has been dropped and TALA GAISMA substituted. So I'll be seeing it for a third time
