jimmattimore
Wow: If George Ballanchine had just made one ballet and he called it "Apollo," he'D be in the choreography hall of fame. I thought That Hubbe LOOKED like Apollo should look, and he danced brilliantly. The intertwing moves he makes with his three partners always knocks me out. A very slim turnout up in the fourth ring, but a good audience. I still thonk Darci is wonderful. Link to comment
charlieloki
apollo, and hubbe, are always wonderful: however, i thought hubbe was having a few problems with the apollo footwork, which is not like him let's hope whatever is going on clears up right away my surprise of the evening was sofiane sylve in agon good grief, what balances and, after carrying off all that the choreography had to offer, glances at the audience and her partners which said: okay, now that the easy stuff is over, what else do you have in mind, mr. b? jimmattimore
oh yes, sylvie was magnificent. Thanks for making me add that. What magnificent extensions. q: What is the Step in Apollo called when the dancers walk forward on their heels? Link to comment
carbro
I'd call it "walking forward on the heels." It's not part of the academic vocabulary. Link to comment
