  1. Milwaukee Ballet opens their 2006-7 season with Don Quixote on Thursday Oct. 12- Sunday Oct. 15. It is the director's production- Michael Pink. I will be going to see it since my oldest dd is a new member of the 2nd company. I will post my review after I get back.
  2. When I was in R & J it was with the Stuttgart comapny, not Pa. Ballet. I don't know if they do his version, but I hope they do since I think that is the best R & J! I would love to have a video of it.
  3. When I was a scholarship student at Pa. Ballet School, Stuttgart Ballet came to town and used some of us to super in R & J. Then the next year when I moved to NYC, they were at the Met and I got to super in R & J and Swan Lake. My favorites where Haydee & Cragun. I used to stay at the wings even though we weren't supposed to, and watch. I actually wasn't tall enough for SL, but they let me do it anyway since they remembered me from Pa.Ballet. That was in the 70's and I don't think there has been a better R & J than theirs. The pas de deuxs were exquisite!
  4. I am thrilled to see Misa Kuranaga won gold for senior women. She has been a soloist at Boston Ballet and every performance I have seen, she has been fabulous. My dd was at SAB for the summer when Misa was there and she said she was extremely hard working and very sweet.
  5. I saw Boston Ballet perform Cinderella earlier in the season and most of it I didn't like. The stepsisters were fun and Cinderella had a lot of nice dancing, but I thought the corps was wasted with hardly anything to do. I guess I like the old fashioned choreography better. I have an old video of San Francisco's and I loved the drag stepsisters.
  6. Was it really unprofessional? He's pretty much promised her a paid contract.
  7. Thanks. I ended up registering and changing my password since I couldn't remember it and was able to read about NPB. Sounds like somewhere I don't want her to bother auditioning for.
  8. Every time I try to go to BT for Dancers I can't get on. I try to fill out my user name and password that I use on Ballet talk and it won't go through. Can you tell me what it said about NP ballet?
  9. I had already checked out their website and found it strange that they do not have the dancers listed or dates of their performances. Would love to find out any other information about the company or the director- his last name is Noa.
  10. Does anyone know anything about Northern Plains Ballet in Bismark, ND? My daughter sent her resume and CD and they want her to come audition. Is it worth the plane ticket? She has been a trainee for 2 years at a respected professional medium size ballet company and has performed with them extensively.
