Monique did the Friday night and was listed in the Sat matinee and would have done the Sat night if V Part did not dance.
Sorry, no info on the Mon night performance.

M Meunier danced in all 3 Sylvias over the weekend.Although the roles are short, it's a good sign that she's healthy(no injuries) and maybe, Kevin is finally "appreciating" her

Does anyone think that ABT is pushing Sarah Lane along so Herman Cornejo will have his own ballerina to perform with. She's a very promising and talented dancer - and she is also very small. Just wondering.
Did anyone see the Cornejo-Lane T andV debut? Apparently, from some early reviews, they did very well.
In the Met website, Herman is cast w/ Misty Copeland in Le Corsaire.

A. Ferri is still listed to dance Les Sylphides on the evening of June 22.I was so upset at having to miss those performances (I'm writing this from a hotel room in Orlando), but consoled myself that I'd get to see Ferri twice in Les Sylphides. You can imagine how I felt when I saw that she cancelled those appearances...Joe

Monique's dancing is so moving -- what a profound grasp she exhibits of the expressive possibilities of Balanchine.
I agree with you, Carbro, Reyes' dancing was more dignified than usual.
Any reviews on V Part's Ballet Imperial debut? Apparently she did very well and i'm sorry to be among the early doubters on her doing this role.

In the Met website,Zhong Jing is cast along w/ S Abrera and Y Kajiya in Les Sylphides on June 17.That's something to look forward to.

I do not see where it says she will be doing the part of 'Myrtha'. She will be making her MET debut in the lead ballerina role of Theme and Variations, which she did on tour in Kansas City.
Sarah Lane replaced S Abrera's name in the Met website.(july 13 and 15)She is also listed in one of the Polovtsian Dances.

I think it was Laurent Hilaire who dance w/ Cynthia H. in ABT/POB gala during Barysnikov's directorship.

Is Sylvia a coproduction w/ the Royal ballet? I remembered a news item in the Dance Magazine 2-3 years ago quoting K Mckenzie of plans for coproduction of Sylvia(w/ the Royal B) and Napoli(w/ the Royal Danish).Maybe, Napoli will be for next season.

There is an empty spot in the ABT Giselle casting w/ Angel C.I bet Kevin is trying to get her for that spot.

Veronica Part looks like to have benefited from Nina A's withdrawal from the Met season. She is now dancing Swan Lake(2), Raymonda and Ballet Imperial. Is she strong enough for BI? I was hoping Monique would finally get her breakin BI

Fortunately, for me, I saw much of Ananiashvilli last season and I have already decided to concentrate on Vishneva and Part this season. I recall some talk a while ago that she was contemplating having a family---did this ever come to pass?
In the article in the NYT, Ms.Sylve is quoted that she misses full-lenght ballets.
She certainly can, if her NYCB schedule allows, fill for Nina in Raymonda, Swan Lake and Ballet Imperial.

Any truth to the report that C Acosta and D Vishneva will be dancing w/ ABT at the Met next year?

I think she was a gold medalist at the Adeline Genee ballet competition.

Just read in another website that ABT is touring Japan in July,2005 w/ Raymonda and Mayerling. Is Mayerling part of next season?Did they release the plans for next season?

Hmmm...Wheeldon at ABT,I did not think NYCB would"allow" him to choreograph for ABT.How about doing a full-length "Cinderella" for ABT(if ABT can't get the rights for Ashton's version) in the future?

Has anyone seen V Part's debut in Swan Lake? Please report. Thanks

Monique as Kitri!!!! Now that's something to look forward to.After seeing her in the 2nd lead in Ballet Imperial,i can't wait to see her do the lead. Did she ever dance the lead at NYCB>

I don't remember ABT doing 4 Temperaments during Misha's time.Maybe, you are thinking of Stravinsky Violen Concerto.

Probably, more than anything in NYCB repertory, Robbin's Four Season would the ideal ballet for the ABT dancers and Met audience. Could one imagine H Cornejo as the faun?
