    I also caught them on Bravo...taped it too. It was so funny. I think the more you know ballet the more you appreciate the art that Le Ballet de Trockederos is! At first my dancing daughter was hesitant (she thought it was an insult) but very soon my DD was rolling on the floor laughing so hard she had tears in her eyes. Sometimes you forgot you were looking at men dancing as women...especially in Le Corsaire. The man and the "woman" dancers were great. In fact...I think "she" may have done as well a job as many a female principal dancer! ;)

    That is a sad commentary on what is considered "entertainment". Entertainment for whom? The NY Times is the only NYC paper that covers what I consider the fine arts of opera and ballet and art as in Old Master paintings and shows at Moma and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Other NY newspapers (NY Post, Newsday and the Daily News) could care less and I have never seen them talk about ballet. It's as if the only entertainment that exists is entertainment aka Hollywood and MTV. So much for adult reviews of adult entertainment. What adult sees Britney anyway?

    The Goldberg Variations is the one time when I was in the audience at NYCB where I seriously considered bolting early. Way too long!!!! It went on and on and on and on and on....I applauded at the end just because I was so relieved it was finally over.

    The judges I think were: China, Ukraine, Poland and Russia that voted for the Russian pair in addition to the French judge.
