From the company:
AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE TO DEDICATE PERFORMANCES OF
THE NUTCRACKER IN MEMORY OF JENNIFER ALEXANDER
American Ballet Theatre will dedicate its performances of The Nutcracker at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC,
December 18-23, to the memory of beloved Company member Jennifer Alexander. Alexander, who died tragically on December 2, was a member of ABT’s corps de ballet since 1994.
“I can think of no greater tribute for the Company to pay than with a gift of artistry. Jennifer was revered by her fellow dancers in the corps de ballet and respected as an artist by all of us,” said Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie.
