naomikage Posted January 25 Share Posted January 25 Korean/Canadian dancer Dong Hyun Seo, who danced at the National Ballet of Canada 2000-2007 and also Houston Ballet 2007-2009, Universal Ballet 2009-2011 has passed away, the National Ballet of Canada’s instagram and Facebook has announced. All of us at The National Ballet of Canada are deeply saddened to hear the heartbreaking news that former dancer Dong Hyun Seo has passed away. Dong danced with the company from 2000 – 2007 and formed many enduring friendships here. Last summer, in collaboration with his former schoolmate Nehemiah Kish, he held gala concerts in Sapporo and Akita called Royal Stars Gala, with stars such as Francesca Hayward, Yasmine Naghdi, Sarah Lamb, William Bracewell, Akane Takada and Ryoichi Hirano. Nehemiah Kish has also posted his condolences.
