Quote And somehow, they did it with the Ballet International Gala hitting the stage here in January 2022. Now the trio is a duo – Khalid Tarabay and Joel Burke – and they are still going strong with Ballet International Gala IV coming to The Concert Hall at QPAC on August 22. Their 2023 Ballet International Gala Australian Tour also includes Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne. It’s a lovely idea, Queenslanders exporting culture to the southern states. They call their events BIG for short, an acronym that reflects their aims. Link to comment
dirac Posted July 16, 2023 Author Share Posted July 16, 2023 The post-retirement plans of Sarah Lapointe, just retired from Charlotte Ballet. Quote Lapointe just retired at age 26, taking her final bow at the end of the 2022-23 season that ended last month. But her career’s far from over. In fact, she already knows what she wants to do next. This January, she’ll attend Wingate University to pursue a doctorate in physical therapy. Her goal: to help other dancers and athletes honor their bodies and avoid injuries. Link to comment
