Quote Ballet companies operate with thin margins, and many were barely scraping by long before the pandemic. Vanessa Logan, TBT’s executive director, says the nonprofit had no financial cushion to draw on when it was forced to close; then it immediately took a nearly $1 million hit from lost tuition payments and scrapped shows.
