miliosr
Character actor George Kennedy died on February 28th at the age of 91. He appeared in every possible kind of film during his long career, which reached its high point when he won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance in Cool Hand Luke (1967). Camp fans will remember him for his pre-Cool Hand Luke appearances in the Joan Crawford camp horror melodrama, Straight Jacket (1964), and the equally camp Bette Davis/Olivia de Havilland/Agnes Moorhead horror melodrama, Hush . . . Hush, Sweet Charlotte (also 1964). Later in his career, Kennedy would appear in the very well-regarded backwoods slasher film, Just Before Dawn (1981). Link to comment
dirac
Like other veteran performers, he found a late-career regular gig in Zucker brothers pictures, and he was very funny as the very dense Ed Hocken in the Naked Gun series. RIP. Link to comment
