volcanohunter
I see Hamburg Ballet is also performing in Chicago. Just checked the Hamburg website, and Chicago is the only tour venue in the US for next season. Darn. I suppose the Harris Theater felt especially obliged to invite the Hamburg Ballet after the company's scheduled performances there in 2014 had to be canceled at the last minute owing to an electrical fire in the theater. So in addition to the Mahler Third Symphony, which Chicago didn't see the first time around, a second program has also been added. Link to comment
abatt
Here is the press release from City Center on its 15-16 season. No MCB, except for an appearance in September with Fall For Dance. http://www.nycitycenter.org/content/misc/PressRelease-Season16.pdf Link to comment
sandik
(Rummaging through the City Center release and just noticed -- Deborah Voight in a chorale version of Pirates of Penzance. Golly.) Back to main topic -- the Tharp "Sweet Fields" is a beautiful work. Chicago is lucky to see it. Link to comment
abatt
It looks like the only appearance by MCB in New York will be two performances of Allegro Brilliante as part of the fall for dance festival at New York City Center. Very disappointing. For me, a tour to New York means more than doing one 15 minute work for 10 dancers on two nights. http://www.miamicityballet.org/press/mcb-announces-2015-16-tours Link to comment
