Amy Reusch
(Trying to raise $5,000 by May 12, 2013) http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/companycballet/company-c-contemporary-ballet-new-york-city-tour?ref=live Blurb from the campaign: Cliff note: Company C Contemporary Ballet is raising funds to help offset the cost of flying 11 dancers (and a small handful of staff) to New York City to participate in theBallet v6.0 festival at the Joyce Theater. Full Version: The Joyce theater is truly the mecca theater for dance. To be invited to participate in Ballet v6.0 is a tremendous honor. The Joyce has designed this ballet festival to recognize the many dancers and choreographers who are creating work outside the traditional large company milieu and are forming their own small companies. Featured are companies from across the US, whose work represents a range of ballet styles, from neo classical to contemporary. Under artistic director Charles Anderson, a former New York City Ballet dancer, the company will present a program featuring works commissioned for its 2013 season, including works by Brian Reader and Patrick Corbin, that will be performed for the first time in New York. All we have to do is get there. And that is why we are here on Kickstarter. Big opportunities often come with big costs. We need your support to help to raise the money to fly our Company to NYC to participate in this fantastic opportunity. Various thank you "rewards" for backing at certain levels: copy of documentary "In the Moment", complimentary tickets to the performance, signed poster... etc. Link to comment
