sandik
I'm glad to hear that they are working towards a season after Nutcracker, but was sorry to read that they're not going to be performing their original Diaghilev-era rep. From the website Diaghilev’s driving force was the creation of new ballets, and in this program OBC dancers will perform newly created choreography to the original scores, each of them freshly re-interpreted for the 21st century audiences and dancers. ConstanzaElisabeth
Update: the Diahilev-inspired program is back on for this spring. Director Graham Lustig will be restaging his Pulcinella, Robert Moses brings Spectre de la Rose, and Amy Seiwert brings Les Biches. http://oaklandballet.org/wp/performances-2/spring-production-dear-sergei-diaghilev/
