abatt
Heads up. PBS will be airing Sir Ian McKellen's performance of King Lear with the Royal Shakespeare Company tomorrow evening Mar. 25). Check your local listings. I saw this magnificent, heartbreaking performance live at the Brooklyn Academy of Music last season. The tape airing on PBS is a recording of the BAM performances last season. Link to comment

bart
Yes, thank you so much, abatt. I am tempted to type: WAHOOOOO!. I've loved McKellen's Shakespeare since his Coriolanus, which must have been several decades ago. There is some variation in showing times around the country. For example, our local station is broadcasting it at 8 on Wednesday and later that night at 1:00 a.m. Another of the regional stations, also available in our market, has it on March 28.
