whetherwax Posted June 1, 2008 Share Posted June 1, 2008 I think it is fascinating . In this time of global change ALL our narratives will need to include aspects of saving the planet. It seems timely that such things are entering the 'high' arts. The news media continually deals with narratives that are coloured green - certainly here in Australia one cant read a daily without some reference to the problems of woodchipping or water rationing etc etc. So I guess even opera must respond to the zeitgiest.
