art076
Preliminary casting is available on the Kirov's fall 2005 tour promoter's web site (Ardani Artists). Noting that this is the Kirov, casting is subject to complete change of course, but if the current combinations hold firm, it would be exciting indeed: Vishneva/Zelensky/Lopatkina get opening night in all three cities plus an additional Vishneva/Lopatkina later in the run at all cities as well. Natalia
Thanks for this link, art076. Well, our old question re. 'Which version?" has been answered: the Soviet (Konstantin Sergeyev) version will be performed. Lopatkina is dancing Lilac Fairy, which can only mean the Soviet version. It will be wonderful to see this version, then compare it to the "pure Petipa" version to be performed by the Royal Ballet on its US tour, later on in the season! Link to comment

Just wanted to thank you for your great reports from St. Petersburg. I am just excited about seing the Mariinsky in Detroit. Even more so that they are not doing Swan Lake or Giselle! Link to comment
