Alexandra Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 From today's Links: Paul Post in The Saratogian on the resignation of Herb Chesbrough: http://www.saratogian.com/site/news.cfm?ne..._id=17708&rfi=6 Saratoga Performing Arts Center President Herb Chesbrough has told SPAC board members he'd like to make an early departure and step down before his contract expires in 2006. Chesbrough, 58, has been under fire since SPAC's board voted last February to drop the New York City Ballet after the 2004 season, a decision that's since been reversed at least through next summer.
Farrell Fan Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 Great news for everyone who fought to keep NYCB in Saratoga! Congratulations to "Save the Ballet."
Mel Johnson Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 Good so far, but let's not lose sight of the rest of that board. And also look high and low for any poison pills that Chesbrough may have inserted to prevent ballet from staying in Saratoga!
Alexandra Posted October 2, 2004 Author Posted October 2, 2004 It will also be ... interesting to see where he lands next.
Mel Johnson Posted October 3, 2004 Posted October 3, 2004 Which reminds me of the old Scottish curse: "May you live in interesting times."
