  1. This is only a short video, but I found it on Youtube and thought other forum members may enjoy watching it too. It is Oksana Skorik and her partner Timur Askerov in Swan Lake rehearsal. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Xz8DmJ3MH0&feature=mh_lolz&list=FLfUGdA-_zbF4
  2. Thanks so much for that clip- I really enjoyed it too. I am in Australia and can't watch it on the TV3 website - you don't happen to have the rest of it on Youtube? I'd love to see the series!
  3. You can see it on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nu-YI5LNcFw
  4. Ebay seller "autographedcards" has them at $99 plus P&H too- much better than the Amazon price.
  5. I paid $100 for Suzanne Farrell "Elusive Muse", which was the cheapest copy available on Amazon at the time. I am so glad I did- some things are worth paying for I think! I noticed that the cheapest copy of George Zoritch's "Ballet Mystique" book was $250 on Amazon last week. Ouch!
  6. Hi all, thought I might write to contribute a few thoughts over the next few days from the Ballet Russes symposium in Adelaide. Last night was the welcome drinks and introduction which was very pleasant- and I saw Irina Baronova! She is absolutely tiny but unmistakeable. Anna Volkova is also in attendance. This morning is the start of the symposium and topics for today are 'Astonish Me!'- Ballet Russes and the collaborative ideal, 'Ballet Russes in Australia: Our Cultural Revolution', 'Just visualising the music? Choreography raises its voice', 'Who's Who? Photographing the Ballet Russes in Australia in the 1930s' and 'Caring for Tradition'. After that I am off to see the Australian Ballet perform "French Connections". I'm very excited! Is anyone else in attendance?
