Thank you for doing this, Natalia.

Mara is one of the dancers who was exceptionally nice to my DD. And, would you believe...she is a poster on the Italian ballet page under the name MaraG. She's even submitted a poem to their writing section.

Thanks for taking the time to look into Christopher Gable videos. He was a wonderful dancer and I was lucky enough to see him dance a number of times.

I've always liked Ellen Bar so I was delighted to learn that oberon thought her Hippolyta was worthy of mention. (unfortunately I am away right now so will not see Midsummer at all this year)

Thanks for the info on Isaak (who has studied in the US for the past 2 years) and on the Americans and all the others who have competed.

Hi Natalia and Chiapuris!
Thank you so much for being our eyes at the Moscow Competition. Has Isaac Hernandez ( juniors, age 15 from Mexico) competed or is he still to come?

As an estate's attorney, I found this thread very interesting. What exactly should an obituary say and how accurate should it be about your acts during your life. I guess families mainly would prefer the kinder, gentler obituary and so do I. But if you are a public figure, your acts will be studied and criticized even after death, not only in your obituary, but in things written many years later. Pe

Hi! I wondered whether anyone had read the Fonteyn biolgraphy and if so what your thoughts were on reading it. I had some mixed thoughts on the book and I am a great admirer of Fonteyn and saw her dance many times.

I really enjoyed reading the interview. Thanks for taking the time to write it down and post it.

And having seen Romeo and Juliet last night, I can only say that it was a job well done!

The NYCB apprentices have been told who they are, but outside of a friend of my daughter's, I don't know their names. Does anyone have the list?

My experience with the dancers at Covent Garden has been quite positive. Now, I must admit that I was with my DD and I had a camera and asked if I could take a photo of her with them....they were most obliging. However, they appeared to be very nice to all of the fans.
Once outside the stage store (again with my DD) in New York, a strange thing happened. The danseurnoble walked up to my daughter, took her program, signed it, posed for a photo, and then told her he wanted to avoid the other fans. She had never asked him for an autograph, but I guess she had a look of a young dancer so he approached her before he slipped into a limousine.

Yes, Richard Cragun was from California and claimed to be part native American as well. He was also a wonderful dancer.
Gina, Christopher Gable was fantastic (in addition to being handsome) as was Lynn Semour......did you ever see the Invitation or Daphnis and Chloe with Gable?

Richard Cragun, former Principal Dancer, Stuttgart Ballet in addition to the others already mentioned

Hi Ruth!
There is an Italian ballet page, much like Ballet talk. You might have some luck if you post there. It is www.balletto.net
