Can anyone tell me how long this program runs?  NYCB says 2:10, but sometimes they're off ....

2:10 is probably fairly accurate. I was at the matinee today and the lights dimmed at 2:03, and I was out of the building by 4:20. Getting out took awhile due to the crowds and the fact that I was seated in the Fourth Ring.

what caught my eye - as it so often does - is M.T.

I love MT! I remember a few seasons ago in Raymonda Variations, she burst out of the wings in a HUGE pas de chat that had the audience agasp. I hope we see more of her!!

First, a rant: I hate Rotunda. It's a total snooze and the music and costumes are nearly unbearable.

Hey, at least the costumes weren’t this:

Gorgeous Anthony Huxley, extraordinarily poignant music… and a clown costume. 🤡

Well, I think Mira should/could dance everything.  To start, she can do every role in Jewels!

    Hear, hear!!

I have never seen Emeralds done like Mira did it last season. It was revelatory.

I adore Mira's Tall Girl, but Kikta also has a great Tall Girl. Of the 3, Rubies is the one I'm most willing to give Mira up in.

Mira's Diamonds, whenever she gets it... that will truly be a thing to behold.

For years I felt so regretful that I wasn't alive in the 60s/70s to see Gelsey and Suzanne, but now I just feel so grateful and joyful to be able to see Mira in all her glory.

Terrific to hear! Did it say which performance? She wasn't on the casting sheet, so I wonder who she replaced.

Neither post mentioned when Alexa Maxwell performed Dewdrop. I'd think Friday or Saturday. Did they have a student matinee? That casting might not be publicized on the digital board. Just guessing.

She mentioned on her story that she was guesting at Eastern Connecticut Ballet. She hasn’t yet done Dew with NYCB.

I hope they do.  Bell is scheduled for only two lead roles in the ABT spring schedule.  He would develop much more by having more opportunities to perform.  I hope he jumps ship and goes to NYCB.

    Hear, hear!

I CAN'T WAIT! Seeing her Saturday night. I also changed my tix for Friday Oct 6 to see her Terpsichore debut Sat matinee. How was Emma in Rubies???

    Emma was sensational in Rubies!

I agree with abatt about Mira’s Emeralds debut—it  was a revelation.

  8. I was at the Saturday night performance and was particularly struck by Taela Graff. She had so much polish, presence, and charisma that she would've looked right at home on the NYCB stage. At times during Napoli I found myself watching her in the background instead of the dancers doing solos.

Agree with the above post.  La Source was beautifully performed by Gordon & Woodward.  Namouna was fantastic except that Gerrity was tentative and, in my opinion, had difficulty with the technical demands of this role.  Nadon was great.  She is a superstar.

Agree. I thought Nadon stole the show last night. I was annoyed to hear the audience's loud "aww :(" when they announced that Nadon would replace Fairchild. Maybe "gen pop" doesn't know how good Nadon is??? I like Fairchild a lot and was sorry not to see her, but Nadon is phenomenal and she blew it out of the water last night. Couldn't ask for a better surprise.

Gerrity was struggs to func in the solo originated by Mearns. That solo is HARD.

I loved Emma von Enck; she was precise, full of energy, and charming. Ulbricht really does seem ageless!

What a thought! that would be fascinating, but my hope (probably more likely) was to see Woodward or E von Enck.

They would also have been exciting! Oh well, perhaps another time.

While I did not see Misseldine in Like Water for Chocolate in California, from what I have seen of her in New York in Ratmansky ballets, she's a real standout who seems years beyond her age in artistry and stage presence, kind of like ABT's version of Mira Nadon. Her quick promotion to soloist felt well-deserved from my vantage point.

Totally agree. I can't keep my eyes off Misseldine when she's dancing, even if she's dancing a demi-soloist role behind a principal dancer. I selfishly wish she was at NYCB so I could see more of her!
