From an email sent by Ballet Arizona to announce two free community events to celebrate BA's new building:

On Wednesday, October 9 at 9:00 a.m., please join Ib Andersen, the Board of Directors and me in a ceremonial ribbon-cutting event. This experience will be a truly significant milestone in the history of Ballet Arizona and The City of Phoenix. Breakfast and complimentary valet parking will be available.

Then, on Saturday, October 12 from 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., please bring your families and friends to the new studios for an Open House – a day full of unique opportunities to experience the best of what Ballet Arizona’s facility now offers.  Enjoy free 20-minutes classes for all ages and skill levels, performances from The School of Ballet Arizona, building tours and grand prize drawings.

Ballet Arizona’s new home is located at 2835 E. Washington St., Phoenix 85034.

As a vital part of Ballet Arizona’s family, these events will not be complete without your participation. On behalf of Ib Andersen and the Board Of Directors, we hope that you are able to join us in our community grand opening festivities.

New studios and office space is really quite nice indeed. Very state of the art yet also simple and minimalist in style. The location is convenient to downtown and the theater district, major highway ramps and even the international airport but the area is otherwise just so-so. It's in an older part of downtown and is what I would describe as a mostly inactive warehouse and/or industrial area. However it is right on the new-ish metro line and the neighborhood is ripe for revitalization.
