Bolshoi is performing Don Quixote in Ottawa May 23-26, 2012, as NAC just announced its 2011-2012 Dance season: http://www2.nac-cna....dance/event/610

We also know that they'll go next to the Kennedy Center May 29-June 3, 2012: http://www.kennedy-c...ent&event=BMBSG
I've tried some googling, but can't find any information about other sites they plan to visit while in North America next spring. Has anyone seen announcements for New York?

California, I have no information at all on the Bolshoi's plans. But I could foresee a problem with a NY visit, namely the availability of the two most likely venues. Most likely NYC would be just before Ottawa or just after DC. But the Met is solidly booked during that period, unless 2012 is very different from previous years. the Met Opera runs till mid May and then ABT usually starts an 8 week engagement the very next week. So the Met is pretty much unavailable except for some scattered dates in January (sometimes) from mid September to early July.
The other theater, the I-won't-say-its-name-one, is less desirable prestige wise. I believe the last time the Bolshoi came to NYC, the deal was contingent on being booked into the MEt rather than the other Lincoln center house. But even that one is fairly busy that time of year. NYCB often runs from late April to mid June. Unless the Bolshoi would have another stop after DC, there would be a gap before the DHK(ugh)Theater is free IF the Bolshoi is willing to dance there and IF 2012's NYCB schedule is similiar to 2011's.
So no information, but just a few practical observations based on typical NYC Lincoln Center scheduling. And I think POB will be in NYC during 2012 to complicate things even further.

They are coming in May, meaning the weather will be warm (no dragging around with giant winter coats), and the Tulip Festival is in full bloom!

I just bought my ticket last night, a year ahead of the performance, I feel like I'm borderline crazy...
