monte
My mum is going to take me to the Australian Ballet's performance of The Three Musketeers. Can any one give me any information about this ballet. I've been reading different threads about Swan Lake, Copellia, Giselle etc., your knowledge is amazing. How do you remember all that information? Link to comment
Mel Johnson
Years and years of accumulated (sometimes traumatic) experience. Here's a URL for the Australian Ballet's production of The Three Musketeers: http://www.australianballet.com.au/index.c...=7&submenuid=55 It's a production that gets around. It's done in the US by the Tulsa Ballet, and is about to be seen in Cincinnati. I've always thought it might be fun to stage the chapter called "The Ballet at La Merlaison" from the book. monte
Ohh, stupid me, I shoud have looked there, but I was also interested in if there is deeper meaning to the story. Sorry, I don't really know how to phrase that better. More like the information in the archives about Swan Lake etc Link to comment
Mel Johnson
The ballet itself isn't widely seen enough yet to have much written critically about it, but the story is a classic and there's a lot of criticism of Dumas' work about. Here's a website for starters: http://www.cadytech.com/dumas/ Link to comment
